In partnership with local rescue organizations and community leaders, WUFAW addresses urgent animal welfare issues in Los Angeles. We’ve organized protests to raise awareness and demand action from the City Council, Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS), and the Mayor’s office. Additionally, we extend vital resources to underserved areas, including Skid Row*, South LA, and the San Fernando Valley.<\/p>
*Skid Row is a densely populated area in downtown Los Angeles, home to over 10,000 homeless individuals and their pets spread across 50 city blocks.
