Free Wellness Clinic Brings Vital Support to PATH Residents’ Pets

WUFAW hosted a free Vet Wellness Clinic at PATH’s transitional housing site, offering much-needed care and resources to residents and their beloved pets. For individuals navigating housing insecurity, access to veterinary care is often out of reach—but this event was a powerful reminder that no one should have to choose between shelter and keeping their animals healthy.

Our volunteer team provided wellness exams to over 50 animals, vaccinated more than 30 dogs and cats, and signed up 26 pets for free spay and neuter surgeries through our ongoing partnership with the ASPCA.

The event wasn’t just about medical care—it was about community. Clover King, TikTok star, served up delicious vegan sausages while guests enjoyed drinks and snacks generously provided by Love at First Mutt.

Special thanks to Dr. Peter from TrueCare for Pets and Sandi, our amazing vet tech, for donating their time and expertise, and to Del Gato Rescue for stepping in to rescue a mama cat and her seven kittens and providing dewormer to many of the animals on site.
