ALTHOUGH WUFAW IS NOT A RESCUE ORGANIZATION – We find ourselves confronted with certain situations where animals need help. Whether saving dogs and cats from Skid Row, a hoarding situation, transporting handicapped dogs from foreign countries to find homes in the US, or pulling dogs from city or county shelters at risk of being euthanized, WUFAW will step in when possible.

We have adopted 30+ dogs saved from the Dog Meat Trade, a paralyzed mama dog shot in Guam, and assisted in removing 60+ dogs and cats from Los Angeles’ homeless encampments on Skid Row.

We have also rescued and adopted close to 40 stray potbellied pigs that were living on the streets of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
